The Truth About Paracetamol (fever medicine)

Example of paracetamol

Paracetamol (or acetaminophen in chemical name) is distributed in hospitals and clinics as fever and flu medicine or painkiller level (eg headache) and distributed in almost all pharmacies across the country. Introduced since 1886, received paracetamol mixed with criticism
among physicians.

1. Paracetamol is Safe
The maximum amount recommended paracetamol is 2x500mg for 4 hour intervals. Theoretically, paracetamol is safe (by prescription) to all ages with virtually no side effects. By this time the medical sophistication, no deaths and poisoning by paracetamol recorded at least since 10 years ago.

2. Risk of Using Paracetamol
As usual, paracetamol also excreted only through the kidneys, so if you have kidney problems, please be careful on the use of paracetamol.

Avoid the use of paracetamol (for pain low level) is justified by the fact regular use of paracetamol will actually lower the body's resistance to overcome the pain. Logically, the more frequent paracetamol use, the higher the dose of paracetamol in the treatment of the body requires the same pain.

Medical studies also generally aware that the use of more than 1g of paracetamol (2x500mg) daily on an ongoing basis can cause severe damage to the liver and kidneys.

Regular paracetamol users at risk of having asthma three times higher (Dr Seif Shaheen Imperial College, London) in adults.
